Mattel manufactures toys that teach and inspire. A company with Californian roots, they discover new ways to capture imaginations, “creating the future of play”, and making it possible to live in a world where Spiderman can save the world and still have time to pick up Barbie in his new Matchbox dumptruck in time for lunch.

Our mission was a complete SEO placement project. Faster than a speeding bullet, we designed a digital PR strategy, updated their website, and whipped up a digital media mix on every social channel. We upped their Google ranking, increased residence time and generated major buzz with bloggers, Wired Magazine, and Corriere Economia. We made Playtime, gametime.


Superman Space Travel

La Scatola dei Giocattoli, in collaboration with Mattel Italy, RS Components, Panasonic and Warner Bros organized a special mission to take Superman to space.

A special spaceship, made with a capsule and a weather balloon, took a Superman action figure to the edge of our atmosphere. Reaching this point, Superman jumped from the ship to parachute back to earth, safe and sound.

The mission reproduces Felix Baumgartner’s jump from space. The toy, in fact, reached the same altitude before jumping from the capsule to come back to Earth.

During the flight all of the information about the mission was retrieved through special equipment, a GPS system, and HD cameras. Once landed, they were located and collected.
